General Care Guidelines for All Jewellery

Regardless of the type of jewellery you own, certain universal practices can help preserve the quality of your pieces:

1. Remove Jewellery When Necessary:

Take off your jewellery before swimming, exercising, or doing household chores. Chemicals in water, such as chlorine in pools, or sweat from your skin can tarnish metals and damage gemstones.

2. Avoid Direct Exposure to Cosmetics and Perfumes:

Beauty products like lotions, hairsprays, and perfumes often contain chemicals that can dull or discolor your jewellery over time. Apply these products before wearing your jewellery to minimize direct exposure.

3. Use Clean, Soft Cloths for Polishing:

Regularly clean your pieces with a soft, non-abrasive cloth to remove any dust, oils, or fingerprints.

4. Store Properly:

Store plated items individually in soft pouches or a lined jewellery box to prevent scratches and wear from other jewellery. Keep them away from moisture and humidity as much as possible.
